Why we started with one shirt
This began in a changing room, holding two t-shirts. One hung off the shoulders and swallowed everything underneath it. The other was a compression top that clung to every rib and turned an evening out into a gym session. Neither of them was the shirt we actually wanted.
What was missing was the middle: a shirt that touches the body without gripping it. Close enough through the arms and chest to show the work you have put in, relaxed enough through the hem that you forget you are wearing it.
So we stopped designing a range and started fixing one garment. We moved the shoulder seam, took a few millimetres out of the sleeve, shaped the side seam so it follows the torso, and chose a cotton jersey with just enough elastane to move and come back to shape. Then we made it in three colours and stopped.
That is the whole brand. Not a lifestyle, not a mission statement — a t-shirt where the only thing that matters is how it sits on you.
